As the market is a living place, where you can find some specificity of Turkey. The first one is the cay (tea)> Cay is the first Turkish word you learn... You drink it all day long.
So you can have this served even at the market.
Then to go with the tea, you have the simit. Typical Turkish pastry. You can eat it either sade (natural) or with cheese (kind of Philadelphia cheese, the French version: La vache qui rit).
