Chimaera (CIRALI)

Close to Cirali (you should read shirale or chirale in French) there is a small hike who leads to the Chimaera.
At the end of the hike, you arrive to a place where permanent fire seems to burn from the ground. It was told that a dragon was sleeping there. In fact, there is natural gas lying underground which lights up on fire by itself. This is really amazing. The kids had a blast over there.
There are also, as in many places along the cost, ancient ruins.

CIRALI

We took the opportunity of the visit of our friends to discover some of the wonders of surrounding Antalya.
We went to Cirali (1h from Antalya) a very nice and protected sea front, full of pansyion (or bed and breakfast). It's a wonderful place, very quiet and wild.
Unfortunately, the sea is still too cold to swim

First Easter out of Tucson

It was our first Easter egg hunt out of Tucson, can you believe it??? Yeah, we moved to Tucson when Maelle was 6 months old.
It was quite a different atmosphere for us this year and we missed Kirsten & Erik' party.
Easter is not celebrated in Turkey and the Christian community is very small in Antalya (the only mass is in german). So it's difficult to really feel Easter here.
But we had a good time. We've been invited by a german couple for a BBQ and an egg hunt in the country side of Antalya.
This day was also the first moment in Antalya of Chou2 & Virginie, our first friends who came to visit us.

Week-end in Barcelona

Posted by Picasa

We're behind schedule on the update of the blog. It's a good sign, it means we've been busy. So let's go in a chronogical order: Barcelona. It was already 3 weeks ago.

The good thing with moving to Turkey is that Europe is accessible for a week-end. So we took this opportunity to visit our dear friends, the Guerra family for an extended week-end. It was as if we had just left them a week before.
They moved last summer to the wonderful town Barcelona. They leave in a very modern area (old olympic village), close to the sea and close to downtown.
The main purpose was to see them but we also had a small taste of the city. Just enough to make us eager to go back soon.
You can see some pics of the city.
More pictures will come next with this time, pics of all of us.
